Veterans United Outreach of Delaware, Inc. (VUO)
Whether it is as complicated as finding a homeless veteran permanent shelter or as simple as helping get a veteran a copy of his or her discharge papers (DD-214), Veterans United Outreach of Delaware is out here yearlong assisting veterans get the help they have earned. Be it a holiday meal for the family or assistance paying an electric bill or finding a roof for the night, the Outreach team is on the streets helping our brothers and sisters.
April through October, from New Castle, DE. to Delmar, DE. to Rehobeth Beach, DE Veterans United Outreach’s 24’ Mobile Education Unit is at community and veteran events across the state providing information and guidance to veterans and their families. Over the course of a season the Outreach Mobile Education Center can be at events as divergent as Vietnam Veterans / Legacy Veterans Motorcycle Club’s poker run, Dover Days, Dover African American Festival, Roadhouse Blue Festival the Beach goes Red, White and Blue, Delaware Veterans Stand Down, and Apple Scrapple Festival. We at Veterans United Outreach do not believe that our veterans should have to go looking for information and help, that is why we bring it to them where they live, work and play. |
